
Simlipal Tiger Reserve
Simlipal Tiger Reserve is situated in Baripada district of Orissa,India.Series of hills along with vast stretches of Sal and Mahogany characterises this reserve forest which is popular for its Elephant and Tigers.All though after the Maoist occupation the major bio-resources of the fos dwindling.Encroachments by migrant population,conversion of forest land into agriculture(such conversion can be observed in the buffer and even in the s well as in the mid) and the destruction caused by the rebels had created a major loss in the forest wildlife.Tigers are now rarely cited.Elephants are also fast becoming an uncommon inhabitant of the forest. Trishna Reserve Forest
Situated near Bilonia town of district Tripura South in the north-eastern state of Tripura,India Trishna Reserve Forest is famous for its majestic but dangerous Bisons. Besides Bison the forest is also popular for its reptile population.Snakes like Cobra and Python are very common.Many kind of endangered frogs are also available. Total area of the reserve forest is 198 Sq.m.The "Eden of Bison" is the place you must visit to watch Bisons drinking water from the lake.The area has a watchtower and generally around 5.30 pm packs of Bison come to drink water from the lake.The forest is also popular for its lotus,various species of Bamboo and the Segun tree.The forest is rich in biodiversity but its proximity towards the Bangladesh border has often proven to be fatal for the wild inhabitants living here.More
